Gravity Falls fits in well with The Owl House, and seemingly some of the other shows, for its more down to Earth approach to adventure, whereas Steven Universe's large, fantasy world building, humor and emotional resonance is reminiscent of Adventure Time, and it also has some of those kinships (and some pop culture quirks in common) with Regular Show. Wander Over Yonder, though, does feel a bit more like a Cartoon Network show, though an older one, and Gumball seems like it could be on Disney, maybe. Hilda is something that, if it weren't on Netflix, would have been out of place and exemplary on either network, and might even stand out more and gain more traction. Its lighter in many ways than the aforementioned shows, minus Wander Over Yonder, which makes its heavier moments hit harder (these pop up in season 2, oh boy do they ever), and everything about its humor, storytelling and world building is more grounded in character and place, and gentle in tone.
