Wouldn't the company's overall growth also be a reason? They're delivering lots of vehicles, expanding into new countries, expanding their supercharging infrastructure, etc.

Yeah that looks fine. Personally I would consider supplementing that with a China focused fund and maybe a REIT fund, but if you want to keep it as simple as possible this is reasonable.

differnece is MSFT is a 1-2 T dollar company and IIPR is a 5 B one

I'm just saying, my 5 shares of MSFT got me 2.80 in dividends and my 3 shares of IIPR got me 3.72

If you want dividends, as well as phat index, IIPR is superior and has similar growth.

Limit = buy at the following max price
Stop = buy when it reaches the following price
Trailing stop = after it rises x% above its lowest price since placing the order, buy it.

Example symbol X

X = 5 per share

Limit order $10 = you buy X at $5
Limit order $4 = wait until X falls to $4 then buy (this may never happen)

Stop order $6 = wait for X to reach $6 then buy (this may never happen)

Trailing stop 10%
If X reaches $5.50 you buy. If X drops to $4, then you buy when it reaches $4.40.

If X drops to $4.10 you buy when it reaches $4.51

If X drops to $4 then rises to $4.30 then drops to $4.10 then rises to $4.40 you buy.

ATOS ($3.38) I have 50 shares. Bought in at ($2.52).

So if I was to put a trailing stop order on say ATOS at 10%, would it sell all 50 shares if it hit ($3.04) a share?

I'm on Robinhood and I got burned fiddling with this the last time I thought I knew what I was doing. A stock tanked and the damn thing wouldn't activate where I thought I set it to. And I couldn't force sell until it activated or canceled.

Trailing stop for sells is the opposite of buy. If it falls from a high point you will sell.

So if your ATOS only goes down then it will trigger at the price you said. If it goes up to $5, then it will sell if it drops to $4.50.

During the COVID crash I made around $100 a day this way day trading on inverses by buying and then immediately setting a trailing stop sell.

yeah value is also driven by growth among other things but if the earnings still continue to shit the bed then investors will be pissed

companies pay dividends cause they have cash that they either want to pay investors or they dont have any other better uses of cash, but Tesla is going reinvest most of what they have to grow

Tesla has been earning a profit and they don't pay dividends.

options.

Worst case, Im out $130. Best case, it goes and the options go up a bunch.

Crazier things have happened, and based on the 5yr history it could certainly have some room to grow quickly.

I honestly don't think there will be much of a difference. Price will peak somewhere in the summer and it might come down but it won't come down that much

The plan is just to let it ride the year and see how it does for fun. Although if any one of these stocks surges I might break that plan and go in on it.

I've made good gains from INSG. Average cost was 15.60, but I've bought in as low as 9 a few times. Now it's over 20.

In general, the long term options will be pricier than short term, but payouts will be greater if the company ends up doing well long term and you have the patience to hold and ride out the hard dips.

And those profits will go toward expansion rather than paying out investors. The advantage of course is that'll accelerate capital gains, and you have more control of when to take those gains for your greatest advantage tax wise.

Its being pumped by Reddit and possibly some hedge funds to take the spotlight off GME, so in the short term, theres no telling how high itll go. Word on Reddit is tho, that itll moon today.

Hopefully that ATOS stock works out. Because if there is no news people gonna dump the stock. Some might even do the dump stock and secure profits before they speak at the conference and then choose whether to get back in or not after the conference. Im gonna hold no matter what. Since im just risking $300 on this. Worst case im out of $200 with my stop loss.

I'm hearing Fauci might not be in attendance when head of ATOS speaks at that conference. Its they both attended the same conference both speak at different times. So that starting to sound like a pump as well as seeing people discussing what the exit strategy. I don't know could just be how it is with penny stocks. People want to flip them they not it in long term. Or it not a good stock. I will still hold. With a 33% stop loss in case it crashes like I said earlier.
