Her public views really don't reflect badly on the company, it's like they say in commentary tracks the views expressed by the employees are not the views of the company.

It's only because some people decide cancelling should be a thing that we even act this way, but if you really think about it, it makes no sense to think a company possesses the exact same perspectives as it's employees, and I'm sick of pretending like that does make sense.

That statement is nothing more than to help limit legal liability. It's not a magical "get out of accountability" card in the court of public opinion.

You can get fired for a lot of things that aren't directly related to your job.

Almost every company these days has you sign a contract, wherein you, among other things, agree to comply with the company's stated values and conduct. In fact, I've seen that they specifically mention social media, since it's publicly posted.

Were you not aware of those?

Considering the caliber of how you communicate, clearly we should all be deferring to your wisdom.

The point I was making is it is very very very small groups that start these "movements" and I don't know if you noticed, but twitter is a bunch of people trying to be trending and on top of the latest thing. It isn't a bunch of people in a vacuum dealing out their well weighted opinions, it's a bunch of people who you literally only hear if the algorithm promotes them and the algorithm only promotes them if they engage in the hashtag. So these things snowball, not because there is any consensus or large movement but because twitter is designed to be an echo chamber of different kinds of idiocy trying to outcompete for attention incentivized to engage with "trending" hot takes, regardless of their actual thoughts.

I don't think there was significant error in the 2020 election, but I also don't think people who think there was legit fraud in 2016 can use the same perspective about 2020 as evidence that somebody is a anti-democracy troglodyte
