Some progressives are mad, because they want Biden to push for $2000, and not $1400.

"$2,000 means $2,000," Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., told the Washington Post. "$2,000 does not mean $1,400." Ocasio-Cortez said Democrats should pass $2,000 stimulus checks in addition to the $600 payment from December, rather than increase it by $1,400.

For the first stimulus, there was a push for $2,000, not $600. But that was blocked, and only $600 was issued. Thus, the remainder is $1400, which will fill the original promise. Why the anger?

Don't say 2000 then lie to my fucking face. They didnt say a 1400 check. They said 2000 dollar checks.

Yea it does suck but it's still better than nothing. Biden is still way better than the Republicans

I don't really mind one way or the other if they expand it to adult dependents like me. But for optics sake he should nut up and do $2000.

I was kind of understanding about the 1400 but after seeing this thats pretty fucked up.

We need back payments for the past 9 months, I'd sacrifice the 2000 for back payments >_>

You can't pass a new bill under a new year, tax season, and presidency and say the old bill was part of it lol.
