Apparently you can't play the original Warcraft 3 anymore? Blizzard forces you to buy the Reforged one which I heard was a massive shit show

Yeah not legally anyway. It really sucks that you have to buy the reforged version if you want a legit copy.

Played the shit out of Warcraft 3. The custom games were so damn fun until DOTA took over the entire server list and you got kicked from the games if you hadnt downloaded the latest version of the map from its website when you could just download it in 20 seconds by joining the damn game

I think I just discovered why I have a massive hate boner for League of Legends despite never playing it

Is Reforged really bad or is just not as hyped as it should be? I know the online is kind of trash, but I don't remember hearing anything about the single-player being bad.

IIRC they replaced the original game with the new game. So the old online interface and everything is apparently completely gone

its bizarre cause they actually handled WoW Classic fairly well

I think they fixed the bugs at least, so it should be playable. I haven't bought Reforged so I don't know how well it stacks up.

I got Regorged as a gift and played through the campaign when it launched. Reforged is fine if you want to experience the campaign. WC3 is still an amazing game, even with some new jank that you honestly probably wont even notice if you didnt play the original >_>

I've played 2 and 3 and lots of WoW but I recently decided to quit WoW. I never beat 2 or 3 without cheating. Something I'd like to try to change someday, at least for 3. in 3 I managed to beat the human and undead campaigns without cheating back in the day, but resorted to cheating to finish the orc and night elf campaigns.

I used to play custom games against the highest level AI for hours

can I still do that
