Dude some of the statistics are mind numbingly terrifying, we're cannibalizing the planet at a rate most people probably wouldn't believe. Permafrost is melting and will never come back in eastern europe. Record lack of snowfall for years. Barely any ice left in the caps.

The government pays the paychecks for all workers as a form of unemployment...call it... employment. This includes business owners & landlords.

Anyone who lost their jobs due to Covid must be legally given their jobs back. Anyone who was unemployed when Covid hit is given UBI.

Government plans to deliver food & essentials. Call it DoorDash & Hazmats.

Basically the world just pauses and one doesn't have to worry about losing their jobs, homes, or income as a result of quarantine.

When they were under attack Republican congressmen not only refused to put on a mask while they were in the safe location together they openly mocked, laughed and flat out refused to do so and now 4 liberal congressmen have since contracted Corvid and some states are flat out planning on completely undoing their corvid restrictions, mask requirements and all and completely opening everything back up effectively saying "If we get corvid we get corvid" and it was just found out today that Trump lied about the federal reserve having back up vaccines, they have none, not a single one and states are already running on empty meaning even less people will get vaccinated now.

It's going to get much, much worse before it gets better here. We've done extremely well so far, but our border quarantine is very sketchy, there's no way it's going to stand up to these new strains for very long. Making matters worse, our government have a habit of waiting as long as possible before announcing when outbreaks occur, so with those strains it could grow huge by the time anything happens.

Which still leaves us a trillion times better off than the US, but yeah, it's not going to remain as good as we've got it now, I'm sure of it.

People might start wearing masks when theyre sick like in China/Korea/etc. now and some might stay distanced more. Habits have been changed for almost an entire year now. Yeah, some havent truly changed but a lot of people have had strong shifts in daily life.

Anywho, I'm predicting early 2022 for Canada. We had a low case count during our initial lockdown but like most places it spiked hard during the second wave. Thankfully numbers are starting to dip again in certain provinces since the vaccine started rolling out. Shout out to the Maritimes. Heard on the news today were gunning for all vaccines to be distributed by August if things stay on track (They won't, thanks Trudy), so hopefully by the end of the year things will go back to a modicum of normal.

I won't pretend I think everything is going to go straight back to how it was circa 2019, but the left wing loony's claiming that this is the end of the world need to take a knee.

We're in full lockdown, it's just been extended and there are even plans for a curfew.

Even when the lockdown lifts, there is no reason to assume that things will rapidly revert back to the way they were.
