I actually posted a topic a week ago asking for recommendations for something specific... Basically I'm looking for movies about a person or people who become disconnected with/detached from their reality. Maybe they learn or discover that something about their perception of the world is actually artificial or "fake" in some way. And then they go on a journey to discover "the truth" about the world, or whatever it is that lies beyond their previous perception. Hopefully that's enough to go on.
