Sorry this is so late getting up. I had planned to do it yesterday but with the **** that went down in our country I honestly completely forgot. So in case we have any new people to the playoffs, the way this will work is that the top 4 get a bye, while the rest of us plebs have to pick the WC games, and the top 4 pickers of the 8 will advance along with the people on bye to the next rd, and we keep cutting in half. There will be TIEBREAKERS so please pick those! As with last week, they are sequential, so I only use 2 or 3 if 1 or 2 are tied between multiple people.

For the picks, as I am in this competition, please DM your picks to @WiggumFan267.

Saturday, January 9th
1 PM ET
Indianapolis Colts @ Buffalo Bills
4:30 PM
Los Angeles Rams @ Seattle Seahawks
8 PM
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Washington Football Team

Sunday, January 10th
1 PM ET
Baltimore Ravens @ Tennessee Titans
4:30 PM
Chicago Bears @ New Orleans Saints
8 PM
Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers

TIEBREAKERS
1. Which team will win by the largest amount this week?
2. Which team will accrue the most rushing yards this week?
3. How many receiving yards will the player with the most receiving yards log in Cleveland/Pittsburgh?

That first tiebreaker is just begging people to take Tampa.

There's five teams I expect to see double digit wins from. That first tiebreaker is nightmarish and stopped me from sending in picks tonight.

Waffled like crazy on TB1 at the cost of losing sleep I'm really going to need for tonight but found TB2 super easy. TB1 is probably going to decide everything, as I think there's a pretty good chance going 6-0 will still require tiebreakers.

I highly suspect every single person is on the Bills, Seahawks, and Buccaneers today, with both the Bills and Bucs used for TB1 by some. It feels possible that someone could end the day 3-0 but also be virtually eliminated already.

No one will be on the Bears tomorrow. There may be one straggler on the Browns, but that's probably also 8-0. Ravens/Titans I could see a.. 6-2 split? *Maybe* 5-3? Either way this week feels l like it goes down to just 1 game and just 1 tiebreaker.

I prefer it when there's more variety~

The problem with tiebreakers: I'm rooting for the team I didn't pick in this game to win by 20+ to protect me from the fact that my first TB is already dead after blowing a 14 point 4th quarter lead.

It doesn't even matter to me who wins these games so long as the answer is an odd team like the Rams.

I was one of the only people in the league on the Rams week 16, and I didn't pick them here. Not sure how to justify it after watching that game.

And it looks like they're about to give up another trash time TD to get this down to 3 weeeee.

I hate tiebreakers~

#2 this year is easy (Baltimore). #1 was a tossup between 5 teams that all feel capable of winning by 3-20.

What annoys me is my first inexplicable impulse for #1 (Pittsburgh) is probably going to be right despite the fact that I only picked them to win by 10.

I just really thought someone else would win by more than that.

I had Baltimore going above 200 rushing yards win or lose. I never gave #2 a second of thought.

What if people don't have TB1 and 2 and tie on TB3?

I am just now receiving a complaint from someone that the TBs 1 and 2 are not really great tiebreakers, I would love to hear from the rest of you as well.

The main cause of consternation is that there is some confusion about how TBs 1 and 2 work if multiple people did not pick the correct team to win by "the most." Do I then go to users who correctly picked the team that got the 2nd biggest blowout? Or do I move on to TB2 if enough people got TB1 incorrect?

I had intended for it to be the latter, so for example right now the Browns are up 28, adn the saints had the 2nd highest win margin. No one picked CLE for TB1 so I had intended to then go to TB2. However, someone and perhaps more of you think I should then instead go to the saints as the "correct" answer for TB1. I don't see how it could be interpreted this way based on the wording of the TB but I am willing to acknowledge that the TB itself as a concept is poor. I am contemplating simply screwing the TBs this week since this user does bring up a good point about its implementation and allowing all tied users to the next rd, do you all think that is fair? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Last year only the #1 team for each TB was considered and it was never an issue, so it went overlooked. My assumption has been that you have to get TBs 1 or 2 right for them to count or else #3 is the ultimate tiebreaker.

I would've inputed a similar tiebreaker (choose a "lock" of the week) had I given one of my own.

If you or anyone else doesn't feel they can be partial that's fine, I am also welcoming opinions as to whether or not it's...just not a good tiebreaker. The idea of "If not enough people pick 1/12 teams correctly that it moves on to the next TB"

An example being of why this is bad, someone picked a team who won by 20, another person picked a team who won by 1, and the actual right answer was a team that won by 21 that no one picked. Logically the complaint goes that the team who won by 20 is "worth" more than the team who won by 1, but because neither of them guessed the actual correct team, that it then goes to TB2 and then TB3 and that person who picked a team who won by 20 could lose out even though they got the "2nd best" victory margin.

Now granted I don't think the TB wording reads that way at all, but there's still the question of if that concept is a good tiebreaker, rather than the wording being misunderstood.

I think it still works if you add "If no one correctly picked the #1 answer, the #2 answer will be taken instead". As of right now it's an absolute (you Sith monster)

I wouldn't consider dropping it below #2 though, if everyone whiffs that badly.

We're ALL biased because everyone who got TB1 missed TB2 and everyone else has TB2.

(My take was obvious when I assumed the Rams protected me from the Bucs, for example).

Also the Browns led the Titans 35-7 at half and won by 6 so.. Maybe the issue can still resolve itself.

My idea was that if no one got TB1 then it'd go to TB2 and if no one got TB2 then it'd go to TB3. Normally, I don't think this is an issue but it looks like with these particular tiebreakers it'd be actually pretty easy for no one to get any of the TBs since they're rather specific. So I'd lean toward them just being bad tiebreakers.

This. If Cleveland ends up winning by the largest margin and no one picked Cleveland for the first tiebreaker, I don't think it should matter what team won by the second largest margin. If it's deemed a bad tiebreaker and you/everyone want to change/remove it then that's fair, but it should work as written at least for this week.

I'm personally a terrible candidate as to whether it's a good tiebreaker to begin with though, as I'm a proponent of ridiculous ones like what will be the combined sum of the jersey numbers for all players who recorded a catch in the game and no one else wants that.
