Anyway what I was saying in response to Corrik's link about the cop dying in the invasion - Trump supporters' main excuse for their violence was that liberals "started it" and therefore their violence was justified. So, an eye for an eye is literally a guiding philosophy for them. This is a direct cause of the killed Trumper as well as the dead cop.

If you disapprove of either of those deaths you NEED to make de-escalation and proportionality a KEY priority in your life and philosophy. You need to totally reject people who totally agree with you, except think eye-for-an-eye is sometimes ok. Death is the only alternative.

Based on the orders, it is 628 plus 150 arrears for one kid to one woman and 328 plus 68 in arrears to the other woman.

So 950 a month makes it almost 2 years worth.

it's kinda like how if you have a terrible moderation history on this site, you can get banned for simply saying someone is an ass or whatever. yeah, it's dumb, but you kinda brought it upon yourself by constantly breaking the rules before that!

I don't care what your moderation history was. Saying I am not going somewhere isn't an issue.

You didn't bring it on yourself in that scenario. If they wanted to ban you, they should have done it for actual violations prior. It's poor. He seems to have... basically gone back to normal. I think the lack of anything happening on January 6th/the fucking insurrection awakened him to reality. Haven't seen him posting any crazy shit at all.

I am not gonna trash her for it. She is the first lady of the United States. They were American citizens. The one did serve in our nations military. So, I can see why she could have that belief. I just don't personally agree with it. I think it was deserved by their own actions and a lot more were lucky to get out with their lives based on what happened. I won't condemn her, but I don't personally agree either.

Probably badly. I am taking into account the person wasn't armed and didn't hurt anyone also, and we have seen nothing to state that this person intended to do harm to someone. If so, that changes things greatly.

Had an appointment with my therapist on Monday. No shame in that, lots of people have a therapist, life coach, mentor, or whatever. Talked about last week and how I was trending away from Trumpism for awhile, but that whole thing shook me and really made me feel like I got out of a cult before it was too late. Had a really good and healthy chat about it.

After that, without getting into any real specifics because of patient confidentiality, she mentioned having multiple patients calling her or in her office crying because the insurrection didnt work.

Seriously. What in the actual fuck is wrong with these people? I get supporting Trump in the beginning when people were all bandwagoning, but now? I dont know what other proofs we need that the dude is bad news.

I guess these people feel like they have no control of their life (or maybe they are incapable). They NEED to believe it something; it's a path to simplfying their life, peace, grounding, whatever. So they latch onto whatever they can to be that foundation. In this case, it's a narcissistic, charlatan. For others, it's religion.

That's not the way I operate. I can't just "believe" and blindly do what someone says.

But there are many who ARE comfortable with that. And now that foundation of their life is getting rocked and they just don't know what to do because they have no other support structure. Some will retreat back to religion again, others will look to other leaders political or otherwise. It's a fraught time when a cult gets smashed down because the members are going to be extra desperate to get back on "solid footing". I would hope at least some recognize the error of "blind belief" but most will not.
