Any tips? I have 1 & 2 which I havent played yet, but understand I dont really need to play them.

I know colors for gear rarity are different from most so I'll keep an eye out for that.

Play 1 and 2 first. Use a movement speed mod for 1.

Regardless if you play 1 and 2 first or not I do recommend reading the first two books. They are short anthology collections, easy to read but will explain the backstory to the characters pretty well.

When you start with 3, put it to the hardest difficulty setting. It might be painful in the beginning but it'll be worth it.

Nah, I get it I just wanna get into 3 asap. The first 2 games/books might take a minute vs a quick wikia trip.

get a few essential mods like autoloot and auto apply monster oils. no weight limit as well if you want to. all 3 of those things in this game specifically quickly become an extreme annoyance, ones i dont think youll want to content with for 100+ hours. a few other quality of life ones like increased monster loot, all quest objectives on map and always full xp can really help the over all experience as well. maybe the fast travel one too, but in general theres enough travel points to where i didnt find that one too annoying.

I would say weight limits aren't a huge deal in Witcher 3. It's really only a problem if you're looting a bunch of common weapons, which you shouldn't do unless you're at the beginning since they have practically no sell value after that point.

I'd love to revisit 2 at some point, but just know that if you want to get the most out of the second game, you have to play through two times minimum. You'll understand when you play it.
