Between December 23rd and January 2nd, I experienced the biggest wave of depression and stress I've felt in recent memory. I ate like shit the whole time, but I've still managed to slim down lately by some bizarre miracle.

The feelings I've been experiencing are intensely negative, and I was throwing down chocolate bars like they were vitamins. I spent this entire week eating like absolute shit. But I genuinely feel like I've trimmed a bunch of kilos. I feel tighter and less heavy, and people have commented on it. It's surreal.

Can intense stress alone lead to weight loss, regardless of what you're putting into your body?

Stress actually causes weight gain.

Depression on the other hand kills your appetite and can definitely make you lose weight

Yes. If you are anything like me your appetite dries up when stressed. The food you might be eating might not be good for you but you probably are just plain not eating enough, even if junk food.
