It's a spin-off of RCR that's also kind of its own thing starring the main characters' girlfriends. I don't know much about the continuity of those games, but there are a bunch of fun Easter eggs that were funnier to me when I looked up what they're about. My co-op partner and I struggled a lot with it. The number of times I fucking accidentally dabbed on her dead body trying to revive her was ridiculous too. This is probably my biggest complaint about the gameblocking/parrying seem super jank. Sometimes it work, sometimes it just doesn't. Sometimes I can block an attack and other times, I'm eating that same attack with block button well held down.
