Depends. I'm polite and kind to most people and honestly it has proven beneficial. Ive also learned to not be a pushover tho. I think if you're nice and a pushover you'll finish last but if you have a thick skin and backbone you can flourish.

It's usually an excuse and the person doesn't realize they're not genuinely nice. They're only nice cause they think they should get something out of it. People can sense that.

IT is funny nice guys finish last. Then people had complain to attack nice guys and equate them all to creepiers. So not only to they finish last they get attacked. And hell even terms like friends zone that just meant unrequited love got changed into oh "you guys just think you are owed sex" .

There is some truth to that statement, well in a business sense anyways. I can guarantee you, most people who are rich didn't get rich for being nice. Maybe surface level nice, but many business dealings were very cut throat and the aggressive ones will always swallow the nicer ones by screwing them over.

When it comes to social "nice guys" I find it more as a bare minimum prerequisite to being a human being. If your only discernable feature is being a "nice guy", you're probably not going to get laid.

What else does friendzoned mean other than you think a girl should have sex with you if she wants to be around you? You're not forced to do stuff for her. The only way it's wrong on the womans part is if she's blatantly manipulating the guy by leading him on. But a lot of the time guts feel led on just because a girl is nice to them. Like they're suppose to be a straight up bitch or want to fuck them, with no in-between. Shallow understanding of relationships

I believe nice guys take longer to "get the girl/guy" since being younger normally is the time to make mistakes and sow your wild oats, etc.

Most of my friend group didn't get with their SO until mid to late 20's. We are all "nice guys" in the conventional sense.

"Nice guys" are usually only nice because they think it's a path to getting sex. As soon as they're rejected, the niceness is quickly gone. Women like a man who is polite and a good person but doesn't put her on a pedestal as The Queen and act like her servant; dude still needs to be a leader and put his foot down and have confidence in himself. But for some reason, confidence is a "bad boy" trait now, and that's stupid.

At least when it comes to woman, yes, but most other facets of life? Not so much.

I think you overshot here. I agree with everything else. But I never see people claim confidence as a bad boy thing. Unless it's like braggy and "fuck you, I'm better" type confidence.

A lot of "bad boys" only have a front of confidence and are messes inside. That's why they act out whenever confronted or always think their gf is cheating. As to where a more adjusted secure person can just shrug it off and doesn't constantly accuse others of stuff withno evidence

Also, "nice" can have a number of definitions. You can buy gifts and do tons of favors for people and be seen as "nice", conversely, you can never spend money on people and pick and choose your favors but always have a friendly/kind demeanor about you and also be considered nice.
