• better reach due to freakishly long arms

• possibly taller

I think Shrek takes this based on experience. There's no way Randall would have been able to choke Shrek out like he did Sully. Shrek would probably grab Sully's tail and mario toss him. Even if Sully got Mike Wazowski as an assist character I don't think he could take it

Shrek has clearly shown a much higher propensity and talent for violence than Sully ever did.

Sully does have claws, and he can get up to speed on all fours. Plus as Monster's University shows, he does have considerable raw strength. But remember, Shrek took out like 20 guards by himself when he confronted Farquaad in Duloc. Then he and Fiona took out an experienced chapter of bandits, wielding deadly weapons, mind you

I think Sully could give Shrek a bit of trouble at first but Sully's not much of a fighter despite his natural weaponry (claws, teeth) and strength.

Shrek has considerably more combat experience by the end of the franchise and is also quite strong due to being an ogre.

Sully has no feats that even come close to this. End of discussion. Not to mention Shrek has shown incredible durability, like when the dragon launched him hundreds of feet through the air and crashed him through a roof.

I agree, and the core of my stance is that Shrek routinely dispatches groups of foes way outnumbering him. Sully couldn't take Randall or Waternoose solo. He's got reach over Shrek, and claws, but that's it I think

I think Shrek would win both in a fight and as a Monsters Inc employee. Shrek is more terrifying to me, but that might be because the Internet has manifested him into something far greater and more incomprehensible than just a silly cartoon character like Sully. Would a child be able to fear Shrek the same way you or I can? Who can say.

True, we've developed a healthy fear and reverence of Shrek. But I'm talking strictly movie feats for the purposes of this thread.

Sully took out Vanitas I doubt Sherk could do that.
