What build did you end up going on your playthrough?

Cat armor, fast attacks, focus on attack power and criticals. Used oils regularly, but never used bombs except against bruxae, alps, and the occasional noonwraith or something, and the only potion I recall using a decent number of times was Golden Oriole. Used Quen a lot, and Yrden from time to time, but not really any of the other signs.



Ability screen looks like that. Never really bothered with mutations or anything outside the combat tree, and I kinda just stopped trying to put points anywhere after I got what I felt I needed.

Edit: GameFAQs really degrades the quality of these screenshots when I post them. Makes it look like I'm playing on a toaster.

The quest with the nature photographer was so wholesome. He just wanted to observe nature and make his daughter happy, and the painting I got wasn't half bad

Finished Blood and Wine earlier today. Just one last ride to my home and that's the end for me. I don't think there's anything left for me to do. Fantastic game. I wish I liked Gwent as much as you do. Once I missed the Bloody Baron card I just stopped playing altogether

I think Bayonetta 2 will be my next game

You can go back and get the cards if you missed them in cases like that. They'll leave them somewhere nearby and you can just pick it up.

That reminds me, I still have to do that Gwent tournament. I'm kinda dreading that, since I don't feel at all comfortable with the Skellige deck

One of the fistfights was actually a rap battle in disguise. Sent that guy crying to his mother.

And the champion fight was done while rip-roaring drunk. That was interesting.

It disappoints me greatly that the game doesn't allow you to climb to the top of either of those mountains flanking the river on the eastern edge of the map. All they needed to do was move the edge of the map back a few meters. They're right there, but it kicks you back before you can get to the top.

These hanse strongholds are pretty crazy. Cutting through like 40 guys all at once

Yeah, I remember dying in those hanses quite a few times, mostly because some have wonky camera angles. Don't be afraid to back out and lure them into bottlenecks and stuff.

That one in the cave could be really frustrating if you get stuck next to a rock or something. Actually died twice clearing that one out

I accidentally got the trophy for attack, counterattack, bomb, and sign in 4 seconds or whatever it is. I felt like such a badass

I think I got the attack/counterattack/bomb/sign trophy in the Kaer Morhen tutorial area, haha.

Actually, are witchers even capable of dying from natural causes? Geralt is somewhere around 100 from what I remember, and Vesemir had to have been north of 200.

I would imagine so. Vesamir wasn't exactly a spring chicken, I reckon he would've had maybe a third of his natural life left?

So what's the deal with the big statue of Lebioda? I did a bunch of little quests where it got constructed piece by piece, but then when I was done with them all, it's kinda just standing there now. Was there anything special that happened when it got finished?

Also, who exactly is Lebioda? Is he like a Jesus figure for the Toussaintois religion?

I think I remember hearing at one point that there's a quest that lets you talk to Roach, but I haven't come across anything like that so far. Have I missed something?

A big ol' sigh of relief. It only took two tries to get past the Nilfgaard deck. Shit, I even won it without drawing Cerys.

Today I completed the main story with the good ending and it was incredible. It's my first playthrough with 65 hours into this according to the player stats page and my current Witcher level is 35. Going to start the next two expansions starting with HoS and then Blood and Wine.

It was northwest of the Basane Farm signpost. Guess I must have just never checked there when I was exploring the map since there wasn't a question mark there.

Well, I've done everything I think I want to do now, so our journey comes to an end. Thanks to everyone who stuck around and contributed over the last month. It was a great experience all around.

I will say, though, that I was very disappointed that not once in 130 hours did I see Roach spawn on top of a house.

I'm sure it will be interesting to look back on this in the future to see your experiences as the game progressed.
