Hey, so my cousin is getting a gaming laptop. His mother asked me for some advice on which one they should get. Problem is, I don't know a whole lot about gaming laptops.
She sent me the info on the ones they narrowed it down to. Anyone want to help me figure out which one to recommend? She wants to keep the budget to between $1000-$1500
I know desktop pcs are better overall, and I suggested this, but he insists on a laptop. I'll post the info she sent in the next post.

Eh I vote for one of the ASUS ROG's.

I have owned many laptops over the years - Alienware (when they were still independent), Compaq, Acer, MSI, and HP.

My non-gaming ASUS laptop is the first one to actually last me any meaningful amount of time and still perform really well. All the others had stupid issues (like the HP would get laggy from streaming video on YouTube... Compaq BSOD on me after a month of owning it with no way discernible way to fix it, Acer shipped with shitty speakers/audio drivers, MSI shipped with a software problem that caused excessive Windows load times and then it would tend to just freeze up outright).

So I'll always recommend ASUS. Not saying they're the best but so far they've been the most consistent out of non-work issued systems.

I wouldn't expect the Razer Blade to have very good cooling, it being an Ultrabook form factor.

That being said, gaming laptops in general have garbage cooling. I'd just expect the Strix to have marginally better.

Edit: also 2070 vs 2060 and 1TB SSD vs 512GB

I think I've narrowed it down to 4 and 5.
Theure close to the same price. I think 5 is like $50 more or something.
Good choices??

Yeah 4 or 5 would be my picks. Not sure what the difference is between the two GPU's there. I think it's to do with how they are clocked for the laptop. But really I doubt you can go wrong either way.
