He was angry at one of our work colleagues who started a small group for some of the girls interested in STEM and said it was sexist because she only included girls. She said the boys were allowed to join but the goal was still on trying to show the girls that male dominated industries will still except women.

This then turned into her being called a femnazi and him insisting that it's sexist because she won't actively force boys to join the group.

I'm still trying to understand what the fuck just happened over a week later. He's 30 years old. He's a teacher or training to be one anyway. What the fuck why are people like this.

How old is the lady that started the group?

Was this guy trying to date her/the other girls?

I think 25? She's only a new teacher
I don't think so - he said he had a girlfriend.

Imagine calling someone a femnazi because they encouraged a bunch of 14 year old girls to study science and not worry about being too stupid compared to the boys

Basically when the kids are in grade 9 they choose a variety of subjects
It's common that there are usually a few girls who feel they're too stupid to pick the stem ones because they're usually not as aggressive to answer questions and what did happen is the groups would be sometimes at random for group work. So she had the idea of trying to fit at least 2 girls per group instead of one girl only.
Which apparently worked well and the teachers noticed the girls would have more contributions in the project report.

Ask him if a girl hit him, would he throw a haymaker in retaliation.

I think it's to do with women
I asked why didn't he just do the same thing but for the boys and he started going off on how he's too busy and insisted it should be up to her to do it for the boys too but like, she's literally busier than he is and already is working late daily

Some of the ones I work with would probably knock him out with one punch tbh

Did you point out this discrepancy to him? (That he has more time) Or ask why he believes she should run both groups?

He was pretty drunk. But I asked what if I had ran the girls one and he got a bit confused and then went on how it would be completely different then said she'd (the woman) would never allow it and mumbled off towards the bar

Apparently this isn't the first time it's come either. He tends to bring it up a lot when he's drunk. At first I thought maybe it was something to do with her but he was complaining before about how the librarian had a creative writing group which was mostly girls despite being open to the boys too.

So I figured incel. I'm just confused since I thought these people stayed away from normal people and just bitched online

Thanks for the follow up details - like others below, seems more a misogynist than anything else right now

I can accept misogynist but it's just weird. The dude's doing his training at one of the top 10 schools in the country and I have no idea how he'll even pass it if that gets passed up the chain

We actually have one of the higher rates for female students going to stem subjects in college so there's that too
he won't be offered a role after his training anyway. I know that much at least.
