I know real alcoholics. Been to countless AA meetings. We laugh when little bitches come in with their "I drank 3 beers every night" stories.

AA meetings make me want to drink. I've been to a bunch to support my Dad, and they were always full of people telling stories with issues that were general their own fault.

Sounds like a healthy and welcoming place.

I got a DWI once when I was younger and dumber, I had never had an issue with law enforcement, and the arrest was sketchy for reasons I won't get into here but at the end of the day I blew exactly the legal limit. I got a great lawyer who negotiated me a diversion. The terms of the diversion were 20 hours of community service, see a counselor on drug abuse and follow any of his recommendations.

I literally described in detail to the counselor that I was person C. He said so what do you do for a living, I was like I'm in executive management. Education? Masters degree. Personal relationships? Engaged to my long term girlfriend. Any complaints about life? None. Do you crave drinking? No. Why do you drink? Tastes good. When was the last time you stopped drinking? To lose weight for the summer. How long? 6 weeks. Were you successful? Yes.

He looked me straight and said well you certainly don't have a problem, but you should take a cab after drinking from now on. He reccomended I go to 3 AA sessions. I did, the judge looked over my file and dismissed the case.

I have been a loyal Uber customer ever since.

8 years later I am still person C. Except I have been promoted a few more times, I married my fiancee, and have a beautiful healthy daughter.

I like person C, I'm happily person C.

Person C). Maybe has 2-3 drinks most days, maybe a couple drinks after dinner or likes having a drink during lunch.

The way this is phrased means 2-5 drinks a day right?

I don't mess with drinking and driving dude. I know guys that boast about getting away with it, but all it takes is that one time to make those thousand of times mean nothing.

Just part of the denial of the severity of the problem.
