I'd definitely make amazon into the highest paid company in the world, paying poor bangladeshis $50k/yr etc. Profits be damned

I'd also run an aggressive ad campaign shaming other companies

Wealth is not money. It's hard assets. You can't spend ownership of your comapny to buy food for people.

Seeiously. Why should we listen to people about economics when they screw up terms taught the first day?

Of course other people would think about how to spend another person's earned wealth.

For them it'd be incredibly easy to do any of that shit since it wasn't their money to begin with. Like, there wasn't any time spent waiting after magically getting his money, so there is no attachment to his wealth whatsoever. That tune will change when you've seen your own wealth accrue from zero to billions of dollars after 24ish years.

You don't have Bezos's money, and he doesn't owe us jackshit. Get over it, people.

Which they did so willingly and were compensated for

Arguing that someone has "too much money" is petty

Want to argue we should raise taxes to pay for more welfare services? Raise the minimum wage? Great, that actually helps people.

Just saying "so and so should be poorer" is childish

Because minimum wage should be above $20 by now.

I included that illustration for a reason. If Bezos makes $60,000 off of someone that he pays $40,000, they are not being paid accordingly.

Bezos' wealth is tied to Amazon's wealth though. I'm not sure how much (if Amazon went out of business tomorrow he would still be super rich) but probably a vast majority still.

If I were Bezos I would sell out tbh. He would get more than enough cash for him and hundreds if not thousands of future generations to live as the richest people in the world. No need to stress yourself out by working as an executive.

If their jobs were equal yes, but they arent, far from it. He overseas the success or failure of a trillion dollar global empire that employs hundreds of thousands to satisfy countless millions of consumers, and the other guy moves box's around a random warehouse.

And they could get a fairer share of the company's profits if they accepted more pay in stocks rather then flat salary increases.

that's a ridiculous line of thinking

is the amazon worker able to go generate $60,000 by packing boxes on his own? If not, then clearly his employer is adding significant value to the equation.

is a grocer stealing for charging $1 for an apple he paid $.50 for?

is every job supposed to be self funding? if employee A generates $10 by packing boxes, and employee B generates $0 by researching a new product, is it theft to take some of the revenue from employee A to pay employee B?
