Some people will make some crazy narrative to extremely villainize things or people they don't like. I'm sure you've all seen people done this before. I am curious to see if that's all this dude is doing.

There's a WSJ article about it but there's a pay wall: https://www.wsj.com/articles/amazon-competition-shopify-wayfair-allbirds-antitrust-11608235127

Basically it is saying that accusation in my first post is true.

It just goes to show that the law only exists for the poor. This seems hella illegal but who has the money to take Amazon to court over it?

Unfortunately this will do nothing to Amazon other than have a few people on the Internet protest against them. Hopefully Biden taxes the shit out of Bezos personally and Amazon.

Local groceries and Walmart always sell their own or generic brand as cheaper along side the more well known brands which is almost always more expensive. I think the issue is here Amazon banned their own competition in their own store when the competition was winning.

It seems this issue has hit Amazon and they've responded by simply saying "We investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing". It's too bad no amount of protest can or will ever change Amazon, because too many people rely and use Amazon to give a damn about their evil business practices.

its the same evil as walmart. Underpaid/overworked workers, take advantage of every loophole in the book, bully small businesses and use their power to crush all these small time people.

But the consumer benefits from it. How much money have we all saved buying average quality cheap products from amazon? I know personally I probably save hundreds if not 1000+ per year, just given how much shit I buy on amazon.

Its ironic that republicans help these massive corporations which ultimately is bad for the small business owner who they claim to stand for.

When I make more money and settle into a permanent location, I will probably switch to buying from local small businesses just to support local people and economy. But my budget is tight right now. And this might sound assholish but I also dont care to help small businesses where I'm currently living in the south, knowing they are all republicans and thus knowingly support big business and corrupt politicians and help put us in this mess to begin with.

The first 3 is believable because Amazon has been doing this for the longest time and it took the EU to sue Amazon for shady practices like that. What they essentially do is look at the statistics on what is selling the best, make their own version of it and then price it slightly less than the competitor to take their market share. When you're a multi-billion dollar company, you have the resources to do something like that.

Number 4 though does make this look fishy though, they didn't bother explaining why Amazon banned them and Amazon usually bans vendors who break their guidelines so I'm skeptical on this claim.

They did. Amazon said the Tripod had authenticity issues and left it at that as the reason to ban them.

Yeah I just read that article you posted, now that is indeed some fucked up shit. The worst part is that I've been trying to boycott Amazon for 3 months and it's fucking hard. I buy from other places with slightly more expensive pricing and slower shipping in comparison to Amazon, so yeah my boycott is kind of meaningless but I guess it's more of the morality of it lol.

This is what patents are for.
If Pirate Trading didn't patent the design, then this is "sucks, next", especially when unscrupulous Chinese vendors are involved.

Amazon always acts like the victim in their ongoing litigations

"We welcome investigators to observe for months and failed to show up and look (on these particular vague dates), see we did no wrong!"

But the funny thing is they don't need to act like a victim since they have bootlickers like Prismblade all over America, Karens love their Amazon prime

I dont know if this particular story is accurate but yes large corporations have been doing this exact sort of thing for decades. Walmart, for example, has long been infamous for the practice. Another thing they do is force shitty contracts on producers and then slowly force them out of business, simply moving on to the next one afterward. They also underpay their workers to the point where each Walmart store is given hand-outs by us, the taxpayers, to the tune of an average of $400,000 (likely much more than that since the pandemic) per year.

I dont think anyone hates rich corporations. Everyone wants the world to be wealthy and filled with good things. Its just that we recognize the severely inequitable relationship that exists between the capitalist and the worker.
