I was just getting some groceries when I got to witness a 20-something year old man yelling at staff for telling him he has to wear a mask to enter. He literally said "they make it uncomfortable to breath. I'm not wearing one". He ended up leaving after a bit of a crowd gathered.

I'm sorry, there is no excuse not to wear a mask unless you have a severe sensory disorder of some kind. I'm asthmatic and work as a mover. Wear a mask all fucking day. It's nothing more than an annoyance.

Remember how everyone here was clowning on me when i was promoting mask use at the start of the pandemic. And how i was pointing out the flaws in the the logic WHO/CDC were using to discourage mask use. And people were still defending them and coming up with whatever mental gymnasitcs to defend their stance when there is no situation where no mask was better than wearing one.

you keep saying that, and keep getting told that that was to make sure the limited supply made it to doctors and nurses and not hoarded/scalped like everything else. mostly because some jackass kept selling our supplies to foreign governments.

Thats a load of shit. Hospitals dont buy their masks from the local corner pharmacy or local general store like the general public. They get it straight from the suppliers. So it was the suppliers duty once covid19 was getting serious to supply hospitals first before supplying to the general public

And lmao at being OK with blatantly being lied to. They should have been promoting home made masks from the get go at least if that really was the issue, not advise against using mask. Fuck, they even were saying dumbass shit how it increased your chances of getting corona and everyone here was eating that shit up and spreading it

Im not in their shoes, as I am in a very very lucky situation where I am able to work from home. Ive worked from home since april. Havent lost a single dime in all this.

Now... if I was in a situation where the lockdowns directly affected my business and the government effectively just came in and handed down executive order to take away my way of income... oh man...

Im just saying I can see it from their point of view. If the government came in and took it all away from me, I would be against the lockdowns too.

i couldn't find a mask in a store until two months after PA imposed their mandate. I only got one because my bank teller had extras and she was nice enough to give me one.

it's not that the medics were cleaning out the store shelves, they were cleaning out the suppliers that would have been stocking for the puclic in the first place.

and they absolutely were advocating home made masks.

Yes hospitals buy wholesale but if they run out for whatever reason they can and do buy a small amount retail. Same goes for almost any business.

If people within Trumps camp actually had bothered to recognize that his advice of not wearing his masks off is costing them more long term then wed probably be a lot closer to figuring out where we can trim money from and reach agreements on that

The only way I can see masks making it hard to breath is either because it can increase the humidity of your breaths, and some people with asthma can be sensitive to that (not all asthmatics tho), or just the sense of claustrophobia can increase anxiety and that can actually in turn make asthma worse.

I see tons of asthmatics, including severe asthmatics on pretty much maximum medications, they all wear masks.

Here where i live there's a state wide mask mandate and a city wide mandate that stores and businesses are suppose to enforce yet there has been so many damn times I've been to Walmart,Kroger,gas stations,etc and there is people with a damn mask on. Maybe if the stores start getting cited or shut down for day then maybe they'd enforce it like they're suppose to. There is no reason to not enforce it, the idiot who doesn't wanna wear one causing trouble? Call the police, that damn simple.
