Man, I can't stand how these games waste your time. I might even like them if I didn't have to do 15 samey "stalking" missions every game.

They don't force you to do all the side stuff. If you just barrel through the story I bet you could get through any AC game in 10 hours or less

yea I tried to do a marathon of the entire franchise like a couple years ago but I got burned out shortly after beginning Revelations and never finished it. I beat the main missions of AC1, AC2, and Brotherhood in like 2 weeks time maybe or something. if you do nothing but the main story and just plow through as fast as you can, the games don't take nearly as long. nobody is making you do all the side stuff.

I think it depends on how the game dishes it out really. Rogue and Syndicate overall had a good balance I think. Still felt like you were progressing with the side content.

That is absolutely not the case for Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla.

I can't speak for Valhalla, but I really think if you used fast travel a lot you could finish Origins and Odyssey in 12-15. 10 might be pushing it.
