I don't have one. Unfortunately. Biggest complaint about this place.

$4k/month rent and no dishwasher lol ; ;

to be fair this was on the lower end of rent for 2 bedrooms of this size in the area (1000 sq ft..). buuuut. Coming from Texas it's sad.

I'm sure pretty much everyone does. Dishwashers are nice but they don't really remove everything...and ideally there should be almost zero bits of food on there before you load it.

Makes me wonder, if you are trying to conserve water, then would it be better to just wash them by hand without using the dishwasher?

Most likely yes. But like Zedonra said its in case you miss something and or sanitizing. That's the main reason to use 'em IMO.

its definitely the smarter way to do it but Ive known some people that just put plates and stuff that are still filthy right into the dishwasher

Good modern dishwashers don't use all that much water, and should get pretty much anything clean in one go, with no pre cleaning.

No. I've never had one. I actually have one now, but it doesn't dry the dishes and the management won't fix it because "it still washes the dishes" but leaves them soaking wet. I hate the management here.

I just hand wash everything.

No. When I was younger, I had to hand wash dishes even though we had one. But I hated washing dishes, and still do to this day. These days, I have one. But I can use it until I get a new water tube for it.

I wonder if they get clean then because the water might come out strong (i assume) but it certainly does not scrub anything. People overload them too so that doesn't help.

If you have a good dishwasher that isn't over 10 years old and you didn't do something silly like only connecting it to cold water, then it shouldn't have any problems properly cleaning your dishes without you washing them first.

Most of the time I don't even bother rinsing my dishes before putting them in and they always come out perfect.

There are many models (once you step out of the budget washer range) that even have built in hard food disposals for grinding up leftover bits that were still on the dishes.
