While it doesn't have as MUCH action as Last Crusade, I could be swayed to say the action in Temple of Doom is of a higher quality.

I never liked that one. It felt so outta place. Almost like Halloween 3. It's like I see what they were going for, just a different "old serials" take, but it didn't work.

idk, I don't remember it as having as much action as the other 2-3 films. The opening bit is great, though.

Well, it doesn't involve an enemy government so by default it would feel out of place. The bad guys in #1 and #3 were Nazis, then Soviets in #4. Then #1 and #3 involved recognizable Christian/Hebrew relics, #2 was... I guess Hindu? And Short-Round gives ToD a much different vibe.

It's definitely the most, hmm, colorful of the films. That might be why. I think that one was my favorite when I was a little kid, but I'm pretty sure it's also the one we watched the most so it might have just been due to exposure.

Temple of Doom was my favorite as a kid and is the one I've seen the most due to multiple childhood rewatches.

Kek. It's also aged the worst as a result, given all of the ethnic stereotypes that are horribly un-PC now. When I watched it a few years ago, there were moments where even I winced. (And, tbh, even the first time I saw it I thought they went too far at times.)
