Beat me to it.

It's even greater with the X1 and X Series X controllers since you use standard micro USB and USB-C cables accordingly to connect if you don't want to pay for a wireless dongle.

oh and the controls are going to be the same as what you would play with on the console version of the game.

Yea, for everything other than FPS games. I usually use the default controls which match the console controls. I beat Sekiro with my Steam controller though, and mapped jump and grab ledge to the under-grip buttons

If not the steam controller I use a DS4

Xbox controllers are plug-and-play with Windows. Steam is compatible with Xbox, PS4 and Switch Pro controllers as well and there are thousands of custom mappings you can view and download directly in Steam.

Outside of Steam, you have to put a little effort into getting a PS4 or Switch Pro controller to work.
