my sister is a huge fan of the n64 and gamecube paper marios, was iffier on the wii one.

i just looked up OK's battle system, and while it seems clever, it also seems a little difficult and abstract. i'm guessing it'll be less enjoyable if it's punishing or frustrating.

do you think it or bug fables be a better buy for a paper mario fan?

thanks!

yet all azuarc of all sorts are more or less capricious and unreliable - they live in the varying outer weather, and they inhale its fickleness

Should be fine if she's 6 or older.

It can be a little difficult sometimes but you can brute force through every puzzle with enough items or coins. Most of the solutions you either see immediately or you hopelessly spin around for a minute and then use coins to solve it.

The world and exploration are a lot of fun though so those are definitely going to be the main draw. You spend more time walking around looking for Toads than you do battling.

You can throw coins at the battles (which you will always have an abundance of) to make the puzzles simpler to solve. And I think there's an item/setting you unlock somewhat early that also makes them easier (or solves them outright? I didn't use it). Solving them correctly isn't really necessary either, it just means the battles will take longer and you'll have to use some mushrooms every now and then. Boss battles can be trickier, but there are letters you can pick up during the battles that give you tips on what to do.

The rest of the game is still quite fun even if you don't like the battles.

If she enjoyed 64 and gamecube paper marios a lot, she'll definitely enjoy Bug Fables more.

From what it seems, Origami King is a totally fine game, but it definitely isn't ANYTHING like the first 2 paper mario games

By the time they start getting difficult you should have enough coins to solve all of them
