So these are the games that Ive played recently and here are my thoughts.

Vanquish (PS4): I played it on PS3 back in the day and i loved it. Played it recently on PS4 still love it. My gripe would be that its a pretty short game and that there isnt any unlockables. Still Really fun though. I would replay it and do recommend. 8/10

Bayonetta (PS4): Same as Vanquish, I played it back in the day and loved it. My gripe with it is the schump sections. I would replay it and highly recommend. 9/10

Transformers Devastation: very fun. Platinum Games never disappoints. My gripe would be that you cant play as the Decepticons like the War for Cybertron games. I would replay and do recommend. 8/10

Tales of Beseria: This was my first Tales game and probably my last. I liked the story and characters (its what kept me going), but I felt that the ending was kind of underwhelming. The combat can be fun, but I only really played as Velvet and not the other characters because I wasnt that good with them (kinda my fault for not putting in the time to learn them). My biggest gripe is that it can get really boring traversing areas/dungeons since you can avoid almost every enemy and there isnt really any reason to fight them unless you want to grind, but I didnt really ever feel the need to grind that much in this game. I dont think Ill ever replay it. I still liked it though, but meh. 6/10 its ok overall, but story and characters Id rate 8/10. (Kinda hard to recommend unless youre a huge jrpg or Tales fan I guess).

What do you guys think of my shitty reviews?

All of the base game stuff is designed to be a practice mode for the harder endgame bosses.
You honestly should have tried to play as the other characters, since that is the whole point of tales games and Eizen is the best.

The hardest characters to use for me were Lapichet and Magilou. I liked using Eleanor second, but Velvet did everything better so I just stuck with her.

I think the only hard boss that I beat was that Phoenix asshole that regenerates its health three times.

Tales of Beseria: This was my first Tales game and probably my last.
Uh-oh. Well, you started with a bad entry point, tbh. I'd never recommend Berseria to be anyone's first Tales of game (and I like Berseria. Imo, it's the best home console title since Vesperia, tbh, though that's not saying much considering how weak the competition was).

I felt that the ending was kind of underwhelming.
Berseria is a prequel to Zestiria, so a lot of the content in the ending (actually a lot of the story in general) is making references to Zestiria. I can definitely see where the ending is lacking for a person new to the series.

My biggest gripe is that it can get really boring traversing areas/dungeons since you can avoid almost every enemy and there isnt really any reason to fight them unless you want to grind, but I didnt really ever feel the need to grind that much in this game.
This is a problem that 4 games in the series have- Xillia 1-2, Zestiria, and Berseria. All the other games have fairly well-designed regions on the whole. Zestiria and Berseria were particularly bad on this in part because even the stuff you could find in areas was garbage- at least Xillia 1-2 sometimes had decent stuff to find.

Other entries in the series had far better world/dungeon design... like, it's not even close. *sigh*

6/10 its ok overall, but story and characters Id rate 8/10.
If you ever decide to give the series one more go, try out either Tales of Symphonia or Tales of Vesperia. Those are much better entry points to the series, though my favorites from what I've played are Abyss and Innocence R.

Tales of Berseria is a bad first tales game. I'd recommend Vesperia. The combat is better and general gameflow are better overall.

One thing I did really liked from Beseria was the battle music. The song from the final level slapped hard. I think its called the way of the embodied Dragon. Good shit.
