Its in low B tier for me, I loved the show to death until the second half, I guess if I rated just based off the first half I would put in A+ maybe S tier.

What is it about? I dont watch much anime and Im probably not gonna enjoy anything that is too weird or pervy

Anohana is a drama about a group of childhood friends who lose touch with each other after a tragedy, and then start to become reunited through seemingly supernatural means

I personally think it's really bad and really stupid, that said it does have fans and if it's your thing that's totally fair. But if you're into "sad" shows one of my personal top anime is Angel Beats.

Clannad is also super popular but significantly longer and has a really stupid ending.

I haven't regularly watched anime in years so there's probably new shit that's good as well.

I dont know what most of these terms mean. One thing I like are anime that are a little more realistic in the way people interact with each other. Like I really enjoy Cowboy Bebop because its fairly straightforward.

Like if Im watching something and characters are falling down backwards because someone says something shocking or that weird thing happens where their nose disappears and a big drop shows up on their head, it totally takes me out of the show.

Monster is my go to example of an anime that does not feel like an anime. The entire thing could be a live action show and like nothing would change.

That said I don't really like Monster and it's like twice as long as it needs to be, at least. But it definitely hits your criteria. i don't like Cowboy Bebop either so definitely don't take my opinions too seriously

I'm posting in this topic a lot cause it's definitely causing a resurgence in my interest in anime, and I miss what it felt like to enjoy things.

I like shitty teen drama anime.
I don't like pew pew action anime.

I recommended a very sad teen drama anime because I heard someone sing the ending to the show.
I am watching a "girls love" anime right now about two girls in high school who slowly realize that they don't like to socialize with anyone else besides themselves.

As long as we're recommending stuff, I never miss a chance to recommend Bartender. It's a very enjoyable slice of life about a highly skilled and smooth bartender who listens to the various customers' problems and provides both advice and cocktail perfectly tailored to their need. Very relaxing, and also very educational about the history and culture of alcohol.
