Well it says here he's ginger with a beard. I think he may have some sort of condition that prevents him from working or physical activity but I can't be sure. At one point he had a Manager who absolutely ruined his entire universe, and he definitely has been hurt by a woman and perhaps a school bully.

At one point he worked as a freelance editor. He is writing a book, for all time. He likes to make lists of media and then consume all of it and then explain the experience of what watching a movie is like to CE as if we are aliens on our first day on planet earth.

He is bisexual and has sex toys he likes to talk about, or used to. I am very normal for collating all this information.

I've been posting on here since 2002, when I was a teenager. I've been here for roughly 18 years. For people who have been around for a LONG time, they've seen me talk about plenty of my life. Even some of the people in this topic. My life story isn't a secret or anything.

I've been here for roughly 10 years and I've recognized you almost the whole time. you've talked in the past about how you used to be a really social person but then one day decided not to and that was it, and you've also mentioned that you would go into more detail someday. Maybe I missed that post but I'm very curious about your backstory

For the first 18 years of my life, things were very good, if not great. Good education, tons of friends, having a lot of fun and good experiences, and so on. Like an amped up version of a regular middleclass childhood. Then, things went horribly wrong. For health reasons I never got my degree, so I was stuck working various minimum wage jobs. Some of these jobs were just horrific, but, at times, my social life was quite good. I remember for a few years, up until about the age of 21, had a very bad social life (which is a crucial time for being sociable, and learning new social skills, like romanace and such), but then for a year or two, things were pretty good. I also had tons of money saved up, more than 10000, so I never worried about cash. I think after that, however, was the turning point.

By about 23, I quit the job that I despised (illegal stuff happening, constant bullying, psycho managers, and so on), and felt better. For a little while, things were fun. There was no rush whatsoever to get a new job, so I enjoyed freedom for the first time in my life. Do whatever I want, every day. Don't forget, I had plenty of spare money. My social life collapsed pretty quickly, though, which meant I hardly ever went out, and also, the economy in the UK was VERY bad by this point, and I suddenly really struggled to get a job working in my town centre. The thing with the job really set back my confidence, and lasted for 7 or 8 years. I gradually went through my savings. Eventually, though, I worked 2 retail jobs pretty close together, which helped my money and made me more confident about getting a permanent job. It had been years since I'd done much with friends, but at least my finances were looking better.

Then I became seriously ill for a couple of years, which meant I couldn't work. Again, my finances became very bad. That brings us close to the present day. I still struggle getting a minimum wage job, and the lockdowns and closed companies of this year have been a big problem, too. I'm in my thirties, living with family. The worst thing, over the 10 years or more, has been my almost complete lack of a social life. That's an awfully long time to go without a regular, or even semiregular social life. Going to clubs, days out, going down the local park, and so on. My life, as CE loves to point out, is somewhat pointless in a way.

Well. I think that sums things up reasonably well.

The problem is, even some of the longer posters on this board have only known me since I've had all the periods of unemployment, so they seem to think I never worked any of those (admittedly lowpaying) jobs. I used to work in a supermarket, and a shop, and used to talk about them sometimes. And it's not my fault the UK economy crashed so badly, and took SO long to recover. Or that I had bad health problems. Of course, I didn't make my first account until the very end of my childhood.

I do kind of remember you talking about the supermarket job, I think I really started noticing you when you made your alt melon bread because I had just finished playing gunstar heroes. that story was sadder than I expected, for some reason I had my head that you just made a conscious decision that you'd rather be a recluse.

Your health is getting better now though correct? You're still young enough to turn things around

I went a few years without posting much on gamefaqs. I started posting more regularly the past year or so I think. But usually it's just game boards. I almost never visited CE, but I've been randomly popping into CE like once every few weeks.

My health is reasonable. I've had various problems with it since the age of 18. Even when it's better, it's not completely perfect. I suppose I'm still relatively young.

More than 10 years without a social life is incredibly hard, though. I sometimes wonder who I've coped with it. I mean, that was most of my twenties, which is meant to be the height of being sociable and going out constantly, and quite a lot of my thirties. When I think about all the people I've known over the years, and had very active many of their social lives were, going out a ton, and such, I get very upset. Even the regulars on CE, over the years, who often have not exactly had the best social lives, have had MANY more friends and nights out than me. Sad.

Is it bad that when I read Sunhawk's posts that Rachel's Theme from FFVI started playing in my head?

Also, Sunhawk, since you said that were not able to go to university, have you ever thought about trying to go into IT? Often, all you need to break into it is a certification. Given the fact that you seem to write at a college level, something that many college students can't do, I would say that you're probably more than smart enough to do a job in that field.
