But u want to play a good rpg and this one gets brought up a lot. AngelsNAirwav3s 12/14/20 9:40:40 PM #16:	I would say play KOTOR 1 instead, it is a more traditional Star Wars story, but those stories are also a lot easier to follow, the classic light vs dark and good vs evil stuff (or you can choose to be evil and that has a different story). Of course, while 2 is technically a sequel, you do not need to play 1 to understand the story of 2. Edit: Forgot to mention playing on console is fine. Is PC better from a technical standpoint? Sure, but that is the case 99.99% of the time. It has one of my favourite stories and is quite philosophical for a SW game. If you like Chris Avellone's work, you'll appreciate Kotor 2 a lot. But yeah, I still recommend playing Kotor 1 first. It may be a little more traditional in terms of SW story and user friendliness, but Kotor 2 builds up on and refers a lot to characters and events from Kotor 1.
