Current Events > All 4 Deus Ex games for a little over $10. Worth it?

I own 1/2 on GOG already. Mostly interested in the modern ones. Are they all good games? I'd get all 4 if I bought the new ones, for Steam. Probably $11 with tax

I've never played these before. Not sure if the GOG files were free or a few dollars, at one point

They're pretty fun. MD and HR don't have the sort of interesting story and conspiracy that DX and IW had but they're still fun to play through. MD expanded on HR's mechanics in many ways, though the writing took a little decline imo.

You could also put a game on easy and walk pass all the enemies. Would you then blame the game and discourage people from checking it out?

I give room for freedom of expression and choice, but not when you're just trying to shit on someone's work because you choose to not acknowledge it for what it actually is.

Reminds me of someone falling down the first pit in Mario 5 times and then saying the game sucks. Dude should write for IGN.

lol. I actually remember seeing people complain about all three Crysis games individually because you could just turn invisible and walk past all the enemies. Not doing that apparently didn't cross their minds.

Even then. If that's how your mind works and you don't care to actually play the game to play the game, be a speedrunner. For me, it would never even register to me to cut out huge sections of a game just to get to the end. I buy and play games to explore the world, story and mechanics.

Yeah, the logic they always fell back on was that the most efficient way to play the game must be the intended way and devs giving you an efficient way to play was bad game design. It was and iron clad argument.

That was originally a mobile game that later got ported to the PC at least, it was meant to be comprised of multiple episodes but they canned it after the first one. Since it's a mobile game it feels emptier and slower than what you'd get out of a normal shooter but... it was still really entertaining for all the wrong reasons (like people smoking cigarettes backwards lmao)
