Pretty much every compilation video done by an unverified account is getting taken down. Im guessing its because of copyright issues, but its still a shame. Lot of good stuff I had saved on my viewing history Ill have to find somewhere else now.

and no it was kiddy porn again. Which is fucking stupid. Lets nuke the whole website because someone posted cp. Can't just moderate it more than not at all.

I didnt know about some of the other stuff. I just assumed this big purge was all about copyright issues because the stuff I noticed that was removed was all mashups of professional videos.

That being said...if your site allows user generated content, and pornography, short of requiring the kind of legal documents MFC does before anything goes live, statistically reprehensible shit is going to get thru. MFC is only dealing with single party verification.

But I get the argument. Akin to SOSTA/FESTA claiming to be in the interest of shutting down sex rings, when really, it pushed prostitutes off of craigslist, where they could more safely screen their clients. Didn't do **** to prevent sex trafficking, or child trafficking.

The government could just create one big catalog of underage videos for the pornsites to use to cross-reference their uploaded videos and have those automatically rejected whenever someone tries to upload one so that there would never be repeat offenses.

It's not so much a matter of being passionate about this "censorship" as it is being annoyed with Mead thinking he's being clever given the logistics over a semantic quirk when there's no other way to get the point across.

Just to take things to a much smaller scale, as the lead mod on SBA in its heyday I've seen and deleted a lot of borderline shit. 99.9% of the content was legal and legit. But even the .1% was inevitable when you have edgy teens posting and 4chan was still relatively new, exciting, and shocking.

Some of the same people that were posting borderline shit there are the reason I've locked the place down now that random edge lord shit from when they were 16 was starting to turn up a decade later on Tapatalk when they're actually using Tapatalk for business related shit.

I'm not covering for an international cabal of child trafficking, Luciferian, shape shifting reptilians here.

Now take my obsolete AF, minuscule corner of a backwater section of the internet, and scale it up like 1M%. You can add more mods to screen things, but compared to the number of eyeballs watching and posting things, anomalies are going to slip thru the cracks. That's just math.
