... cause I sure hope so. Love me Deus Ex, Human Revolution, and Mankind Divided.

Can I beat the game without killing anyone?

Just think. Now you're all set to hunt and kill to your heart's content.

there are a lot of options where you can talk your way out of things. Im not sure if you can 100% passive run it but im also kinda just shooting my way out of things because its fun. They do have a non lethal take down

People are upset that you can't kill random people on the street without the cops immediately going after you and it shows how video games have ruined society.

The game literally spawns a police officer right near you if you kill somebody.

It doesn't matter that much though. If you drive away the police don't have AI good enough to chase you.

I remember when LA Noire came out and people were mad that you couldn't murder everyone in that either.

Yes theyve confirmed that you can beat the game without killing anyone. From what I can tell there are definitely still boss battles youll have to come across so you cant really just stealth the whole way, but the game definitely has nonlethal weapons that you can acquire for those situations. Idk how hard it is to find / make them though. I personally am playing it like a hybrid gunslinger / ninja lmao. A revolver and katana are enough for me to have fun.

I'm still early in the game, but iIt's definitely closer to Deus Ex, except in an open world.

The Maelstrom mission gave me Human Revolution vibes. It takes place in a food factory, and if I'm not mistaken, there's an optional mission in HR that also takes place in one.

There are many parallels between them, like the setting, cyberware/augmentations (with the menu virtually identical looking to DX's), hacking, loot (albeit much more of it in CP), dialogue options, skills / skill trees, quests, etc.

It's not as focused as Deus Ex of course, and many of the individual elements aren't as strong, especially NPC and enemy AI (the enemies I've fought so far didn't even have patrols, unlike even in the original Deus Ex, although that could change).

I picked up a piece of cyberware, and the description seemed to suggest it turns all weapons non-lethal.
