Because certain people outright refuse to have any meaningful dialogue. They bully, harass, and scream at anyone who doesn't conform to their worldview. It's honestly sad.

The fact that most of the posters in the last thread told you what you did was wrong, insensitive, and insulting, and you made no effort to edit it immediately, and just made up some bullshit about people being "confused" makes it so much clearer what your intent was. And now you double down on it like you did nothing wrong. Just fucking stop.

The irony is that I learned the term deadnaming from TCs deleted topic.

If people werent so unrelentingly aggressive on transgender grammar and policing, maybe yall would realize people learn through discussion.

But yall would rather silence everything and just hope people magically learn about this shit. Despite being completely zero tolerance on mistakes.

Or you could just....not interact with any of those online communities and just treat every real live person you encounter with the same respect you would anyone else and not make mountains out of mole hills.

Your typical person wouldn't even recognize this "drama" exists because these online communities are not relevant. That's not to say their issues aren't relevant, but how we interact with one another in person in society is often different than what social media, forums, and chat rooms would have us think. Almost every online "community" is a cesspool that isn't really reflective of what "society thinks." It's just the "local" drama of that corner of the internet.

Get some sunlight.

But Ive grown to hate trans supporters for how unreasonable they are in expecting folks with zero exposure to them to know all the norms and considerations. Especially when ones character is attacked as consequence.

So I get triggered rather quickly seeing it. Because no other group of people have such a defense force.

Potentially. I tend to give people benefit of the doubt moreso than the opposite. TC used they instead of deliberately saying she, and only said Ellen once to notify the reader who he was referring to. Even with a bad history, that did not warrant the reaction I saw in the topic.

I was the one who suggested using both names, and thats when TC edited the OP.

I dont see what benefit being aggressive to a potential troll or inflammatory person provides. Especially getting things deleted where bystanders could at least learn from it.

My advise is this; GameFAQs is not the right place to talk about these things. When you say something hurtful that you didn't know it was hurtful, it's prolly best to learn from it and accept that term is now hurtful. Sensitive subjects are never easy to talk about so it's best to avoid them and go to a place where people are more tolerant and patient to educate you I guess.
