If I live alone and work from home, is there any point in me getting tested? I refuse to see anyone right now as it is.

Literally just gaming online, going out for walks late at night by myself (if I start coughing I'll stop this), and VR gaming is all I do. I have instacart drop the food off and I don't interact with humans at all basically.

I feel a small cough possibly coming (if a persistent pussy cough is a 7 out of 100 I'm like a 1 because Im not coughing at all but my chest feels like plehgm is possibly forming.) Like when you feel you're probably gonna be sick tomorrow but you're not sick yet. Is there a word for this?

I was also very sick in late Feb and 'that' time and 'this' time of year is always when I normally get sick. (Change of seasons get me every year. I only get sick twice a year and it's always that and this time. Since always.)

I just don't see a reason for someone like me to get tested because I absolutely interact with no one at all. What would it help? Not trying to be stubborn but I'm avoiding going out is all. Thanks.

If you've been isolating yourself, and intend to keep isolating yourself, I personally don't think there's much point.

Unless your symptoms get bad enough to where you need medical attention, or you just really need that peace of mind, I'd just leave it alone.
Thanks because I'm thinking "well.. It's not like there's a cure or anything."

They can alleviate me but that's only if I'm like "woah I'm not doing so good...."

If you are isolating as you say you are, then you are literally more at risk to catch COVID just going and getting a test than you have been this whole time.

It's probably super slim chance you have it. When you go out for a walk are you wearing a mask?

I wouldn't even entertain the thought getting testing done if I was in your shoes TC

you literally have a much greater chance of getting the damn thing trying to get a test done, lol

Covid19 is very dangerous but it isn't magic. it's not going to come after you out of the blue like that

No because there's nobody around me. However I bring a mask and I put it on when someone is coming my way which happens rarely.

And thanks everybody :)

I'd only get a test if you start feeling crappy or you lose your taste/smell. If you feel fine and your not around anyone else there's no reason to.

I should go.

In some people the cough is more like a tickle. It feels like you have a piece of popcorn in your throat and you're trying to clear it. That's what some people say. Of course the cough can also be caused because the virus is in your lungs. In this case the cough feels like a smoker's cough.

I'm quitting smoking and drinking right now at the same time so maybe my body was just working overtime to clean itself or something and felt weak for a day.
