I think the opposite actually. Stock market goes up when expecting a stimulus. Red senate = no stimulus. Outside of the pandemic I'd agree with your reasoning though.

i think it's a realistic possibility at least in georgia
the grassroots operations can't be underestimated and they're doing a good job of framing it as a continuing referendum on trump
it could definitely go either way

Seriously though I think this is going to be promising. AFAIK no one else has made any significant progress on HIV in the last decade or so. The ARV drugs we've been using haven't changed much although they already set a pretty high bar with how effective they are.

I had 25 shares between 400 - 500 before the split, then sold 10 earlier in the year to invest more in dividend stocks. Kinda wish I had kept all that, but I'm getting decent amounts in dividends, too.

Tag- I'm still thinking of getting into ENZC but it looks like it's slightly dropping. Might wait to see how much it dips

Edit: I just bought, so I guess I'm committed. First purchase- am I locked in to the bid that I confirmed, or will the stock price go up or down before my purchase has actually gone through and I could end up getting it for higher or lower?

I set my limit price for slightly lower than it's currently trading, if it continues to rise and doesn't go to my limit price I guess it won't buy it for me. I'll be pretty sad if it rises super high ;_;

I'm up $985 right now. My biggest investments right now:

1. SLVO - Monthly dividend stock, best price to dividend ratio I've seen so far. The price of this one stays relatively flat, but it has been paying a good amount of money per share for how much it costs.
2. TSLA - My best growth stock
3. VTSAX - Long term growth mutual fund that a friend of mine recommended
4. ENZC - Penny stock that's been growing like crazy. I WISH I HADN'T SOLD A FEW DAYS AGO, LMAO. I bought back in, but I don't have as much as I had before I sold.

I also have an M1 account I started with $150 awhile back that's up to $179.27 right now without me having added anything :D

I'm hoping that if ENZC really does explode and get me hundreds of thousands of dollars I can put like 50-100k in that M1 account. Lots of dividend stocks in there.

I recently discovered that you can have multiple pies in one pie so I can organize it better. It's such an easy investment platform.

Generally CE has been pretty good on stock picks

I put in with ENZC when it was recommended and thats already doing well and while I had it before I saw it was mentioned here my VTSAX is doing incredible and that always gets some positive nods on these boards. Also I remember Tesla was recommended way before it took off

I'm so glad I finally decided to get serious about investing this year. I've gained about $14k in net worth since January. I've also got a good foundation for dividend income that I can build off of in the coming years. I'm hoping everything goes according to plan until I can make a good $4000 to $5000/month in dividends.

If I ever get to the point where I'm making $8000 - $10000/month in dividends, I'm probably just going to retire and live off of that.

What returns are you expecting? Cause that much a month in dividends seems like it would require a large amount of stocks in the first place.

A 7% return a year on a million in stocks would get you 70k a year

Yeah, it's definitely going to take a long time of investing. My plan is to be at the point where I can be just about replacing my income in 15 - 20 years if I can keep my career going and invest the vast majority of my disposable income.

I can't remember exactly how much I put in, but TSLA and ENZC are the biggest drivers of growth for me. I have about $24k invested right now, and my total unrealized gains are at about $8800. I've also sold some stocks this year for a profit of about $5,000.

I kinda wish I hadn't sold some of my TSLA stock recently (same for ENZC), but I wanted to make a big jump into dividend investing.

SLVO was at $6.50 when I first started investing in it back in September. It has been going between $5.80 and $7.20 since then. It's at $6.38 now. I also had some money in LMLB, but the dividend amount went way down to $0.07/share, so I sold all but 1 of those shares and put it into SLVO.

I made some money on the first pump and got out before the dip. I did want to get back in but you never know whether that kind of jump is sustainable. Rather watch an opportunity go by than be a bagholder.

Was looking for the last topic. RTON and WDLF are ones to watch for those penny stock investors. Made a fucking shit ton on WDLF Monday morning and wasn't even keeping tabs. RTON is a lot riskier so be wise.
