How aggressively are you farming? What criteria do you use for evaluating a piece? How critical is it for you to have a piece that's from "the right set?" How many pieces do you save, just in case? Do you feed your old pieces or hand them down to your bench? How much emphasis do you put on upgrading your main vs finding pieces for your supports? Do you take your 5-star pieces all the way to 20?

Since hitting 45, I've spent some fragile resin, but I haven't fully blown my lode yet. I prefer farming domains with meaningful sets, but I don't pitch items with good stats. I also keep every item I improve, since I have plenty of characters who could use artifacts still, in case I decide to pull them out of storage. However, I've become quite discerning in my artifact choices:
* A "good stat" is anything that isn't HP or DEF. I don't even differentiate after that. Just not HP or DEF.
* 5-star items need to have at least 2 out of 3 good (sub)stats, and even then I'm incredibly leery. More likely I want 3/3 or 3/4. The likelihood that a blank slot rolls into garbage, which then eats the bonus at every 4th level, is just way too damn high, and 2/4 artifacts just aren't pulling their weight.
* 4-star items have to basically be flawless. 3/3 good stats. Either that, or they have to provide something really rare. I have one that was +pyro dmg on a crimson witch goblet, and even though it rolled into DEF and then DEF %, I kept it anyway. I will never keep 4-stars with only 2 sub-stats otherwise; even if you don't get two garbage rolls, you're too far behind on bonuses if you're still filling blank slots at level 8.

I'm still at a point where some of my primary characters (who aren't my main DPS) need a solid piece before I can become super discriminating, but given how many artifacts you feed just to get one good one, this has been my approach for now. There was a thread where someone labeled me as "too picky" before I got to 45 for not wanting to invest into artifacts that don't at least meet this standard, but given that I have plenty of locked artifacts to roll the dice on and not enough fodder to improve them with, I fail to see how that's the case. I'm still willing to bet it diverges from other valid philosophies, though, so I'm curious what the prevailing attitudes are.
