Yep, right as I was getting my first home. Had also only been with my company a couple years and that was the first I watched them send someone out to the building and declare it open to avoid paying out for weather closings

This one was the record snowfall in a day in Pittsburgh. I have a single distinct memory of it (as I was 4 at the time) where the snow was taller than me.

That does seem like it was around the time where we had over a foot of snow for the first time in decades.

I remember it fondly-- the day before the cold weather hit, we had record breaking heat. It was nearly 80, and in just over 24 hours, the temp had fallen almost 100 degrees & we had something like a foot of snow.

Also, Mass Effect 2 had just come out, so I spent all day & night playing it while enjoying my time off from work, which closed due to the bad weather for I think 3 or 4 days.

That was when I had to walk to a mile and a half to and from campus every day. And the road sloped down in the middle, so it was literally uphill both ways.

Never forget it.

Senior in high school and we ended up having like a week off of school.

The streets in our area were so barren and dead it felt apocalyptic. Fun times.

Yeah, it was awful. It was actually back-to-back snowstorms here. I think we totaled 50 or so inches. I remember there were snow hills that didnt melt until June or July.

You werent allowed to drive in Baltimore for a few days, so it was this weird apocalyptic-like atmosphere.

When work resumed, it took me 3 hours to drive home from work every day because of all the road closures.

Yep, it was fucking stupid but awesome cause I was in high school lol

all the side walks were buried on both sides like a maze so every-time you walked across the street it felt like you were entering some new section of the maze

This is one I remember and I was only 3 years old. We've never had so much snow in Mississippi. I remember the power went out for a good portion of my city.
