I always remember they had a billboard-ish sign up near here saying "25% of all fatal accidents involve speeding", which to me said the opposite of what they wanted, considering that would mean that 75% of fatal accidents have nothing to do with speeding.
they soon replaced it with one that said something like "going 10% over the speed limit increases risk of an accident by X%" (sorry I don't know that number, but I think it was between 60-90%; it was written in small font and took so long to read that I was passing the sign by the time I got to the end. I don't think I ever managed to clearly read the whole thing, despite passing it maybe 100 times.) these days that sign no longer exists. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
