See, I thought the twist was that ~~lameass Akechi being the villain, which I was not remotely surprised by and just wanted to beat his dumb annoying ass~~ But for this to be the other twist... just oh my god. See, at the beginning of the game I was like ~~"Oh Atlus, I can't believe they changed Igor's voice actor dammit"~~ but then I accepted it and said ~~"well, it has been 8 years, maybe they couldn't get the voice actor again oh well"~~ That was so damn sneaky of Atlus! ~~To use the meta-realization against us, how jrpgs and dubs in general change their voice actor, even in re-release of games~~. I just knew he'd end up being a villain of some sort, he has that "totally annoying doofus" look that with a hand over hair brush move would reveal a total psychotic maniac villain, which another persona game already did. In regards to ~~Shuffle Time~~ and all that, I wasn't thrown off because I had just come off of a playthrough of Shin Megami Tensei 3. I had played half the game, and Persona 5 gave me such strong Nocturne vibes with the monsters that I had to go back and finish it. Kinda wish I didn't, because I got the worst ending lmao. Persona 5 plays almost identically to Nocturne in how you get your monsters, with some QoL improvements and more rewarding negotiations. I just assumed that 5 was hemming close to SMT3 in creature design and in how the battles work. --- Make it through this year, if it kills you outright. So I had no expectations one way or the other. P3P is the latest version of P3 so it had as many voice lines as the PS2 version plus some additional lines as well.
