Even just writing an email telling people about it brings me to tears. Fucking came to tears in my managers office when I told him yesterday.

Was always planning on heading back home to Texas at some point, but some stuff have just kinda accelerated that decision, plus I got what I believe will be a good opportunity in Austin.

I've been here for 5.5 years and honestly learned so much and been given a large amount of support and guidance, and I believe I had a good future here.

This new opportunity will be good though, and will put me into a new environment in the same industry. Should just be a good challenge.

Just sucks that with covid, there's quite a few co-workers that I haven't seen face to face since like April.

Just clean this part up for language/grammar and send it off. Short and sweet.

Awww I felt that way too when I left my company. I kept crying in the office when people came to hug me goodbye. Ended up coming back 6 months later lol.

Sounds like youve got a great opportunity lined up though. Good luck!

I can't imagine leaving a job and feeling anything but relief and a complete contempt for my bosses, so please tell me what your job is so I can change to that field

Haha. I'm an electrical engineer in the aerospace field for one of the Launch Vehicle companies.

I don't always like my job, but I've never really had the same complaints many people tend to have about their job. I just think it's been good and I've worked with very smart people that I'm glad to have interacted with.

Definitely.
I grew up in Dallas but I haven't explored Austin too much in my trips down there.

I bet they're jealous.

Wait is Austin considered better than Denver? I guess it's probably pretty close

Hmm, no idea.

Probably just ends up depending on what kind of outdoor activities you like
