mooreandrew58 12/01/20 9:23:38 AM #6:	Yes a self serving one admittedly. They help out correctional officers that have faced some sorta personal tragedy. Their motto is literally "taking care of our own" as its practically only paid into by COs like myself. Normally I dont trust charities but when the spokesperson came by to sale the idea to us, well as it happened to be we had a former officer getting back into the line of work and he brought up they paid for his grandsons funeral and the spokes person called him by name said he remembered and starting naming dudes family members even ones that hadnt been born at the time. Showing he kept tabs on the family after the incident. That swayed me as it showed at least that dude gave a fuck and it wasnt just a job for him. --- Cid- "looks like that overgrown lobster just got served!" Also partly due to this most charities ask for a minimum donation.
