Even if coronavirus pandemic is ever resolved, being trapped breathing the same recycled air in a metal tube like that is nauseating.

Recycled air?
I'm pretty sure placing a few hundred people into a sealed chamber for several hours where no air gets in our out will lead to guaranteed death through carbon dioxide poisoning. Nah, airplanes draw in air from the outside through their engines, which is then cooled, demoisturized, and pressurized before being fed into the cabin as breathable air.

Sigs are rather pointless, except if it's to showcase animation and images.

Risk of getting COVID-19 on a plane?

Because of how air circulates and is filtered on airplanes, most viruses and other germs do not spread easily on airplanes. Although the risk of infection on an airplane is low, travelers should try to avoid contact with sick passengers and wash their hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer that contain 60%95% alcohol

https://medical.mit.edu/covid-19-updates/2020/09/how-safe-air-travel

For starters, the air quality on a commercial airliner is actually quite high, with the air volume in the cabin being completely refreshed every two to four minutes. Air flows into the cabin vertically it enters from overhead vents and is sent downward in a circular motion, exiting at floor level. Once air leaves the cabin, about half is dumped outside, and the rest is sent through HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filters, similar to those used in hospitals, before being mixed with fresh outside air and entering the cabin again.

The risk is everything you do getting on the plane. And of course, positive people moving to a new location to infect people

It's also heavily filtered and treated before being fed into the cabin. Airplane air is literally some of the cleanest, safest air you will breathe in your life.
