Environments feel congested (basically small arenas connected by long platforming sections), they made ammo absurdly limited which takes a lot of freedom out of the gameplay and kills the pacing, and the marauder is the utter antithesis to everything the Doom series stands for. That said, I do think Doom 2016 was better. Doom Eternal was still good, but Doomguy's basic melee attack going from moderately effective to completely useless was fucking lame. He should really be able to squash a basic bitch zombie with a single punch. Also, the Marauders do kind of suck to fight against, even after you do figure out how to easily deal with them.
