Just trying to turn this money into more money. Not for a long term expense plan like retirement or anything

Should've done it last week though, went from $0.013 a week ago to closing at $0.0502 today. My account went from $762.58 last Thursday to $2933.44 today.

But it should continue skyrocketing like that for awhile so getting in first thing Monday morning should still be a decent investment.

What is the best way to buy in to that? Not super familiar with how these work

I bought it with TD Ameritrade. If you don't have an account there you probably won't be able to buy til mid-late next week assuming you open one right now. Any broker that lets you buy OTC penny stocks should work though

If you've never invested, I recommend opening up a Roth IRA with say Fidelity. You can put in that 2.5k for this year's contribution and also setup recurring deposits of $200. In 20-30 years it will be a good amount of money.

Just buy an s&p index. I wouldn't just dump everything you've got in all at once though. Decide on an amount you're comfortable putting in every month or week and continually do it.

Why?

It's not even really advice, more of a recommendation. Anyone who's done more than 5 minutes of research into the company knows it's a solid investment and not just a penny stock to flip for quick profits

Yeah, the penny stock with a market cap of 122 million and an enterprise value of 225k that has a trailing 12 month eps of -$4.75 is a "sound investment". They've got about 5 grand of cash on their balance sheet(LOL!) And 233k of debt with a negative net cash flow of -$350k

Let me clue you into how people make money on stocks like these. They buy them, then they tell their audience to buy them to pump up the price which is only possible because it's such a small cap company, then they sell them and leave their followers holding the bag. Whoever told you this was a good investment is either conning you or an idiot who is also being conned.

Do you know about the merger that's about to close, or the certain special lab they're moving into next Tuesday?

Maybe it won't amount to anything but worst case scenario I'm out $700. The research supports it being a good one though so we'll just have to see what happens.

Put it in one of the markets on Predictit where deluded Trump fans continue to bet against him losing:

Pretty easy way to get about 10 percent returns.

No, and it doesn't matter. No profitable company with competent leadership merges with one that bleeds capital. At best they buy them out for a cheap price.
