Thinking of getting one of these two games during the Black Friday sale. Can I get some insight from CE?

I have played Last of Us 1 and I think it's fantastic. Fan reception on the sequel seems to be polarizing though. I haven't read too much into it because of potential spoilers. As for MK11, I'm a SFV player but the addition of Rambo really makes me want to pick up this game.

Get the latest version it has all the DLC so far, not sure if in the future a more updated edition will come out.

Rambo isn't included in mortal kombat sales this year. If you want him your paying full price for him. Last of us 2 however is game of the year.

It doesn't. Season pass 2 is not included, just season pass one and the story expansion with a few new characters.

The Last of Us 2 is overhated, but it's a game you've really got to commit to and it might be better for when there are no other games coming out for months.

Mortal Kombat 11, outside of the story DLC which I hate, is the cheesiest fun ever. It's overshadowed by X's brutality, but I fucking loved its stupid time travel plot and I love how eye-searingly bright and garish it is.

Don't sleep on The Last of Us 2 necessarily, but the more people playing MK11, the better. Like fuck, it redeemed Kotal Khan and gave him a character instead of having him be a boring piece of shit like in X. If you liked Mortal Kombat 9, I think you're gonna love MK11.

If you want gameplay MK11. TLOU seems like one of those super cut scene heavy story driven games which is fine, but if you want something that offers a lot in the gameplay department and tons of stuff to learn and mess with MK11 is going to be the better choice.

It also has a story mode with cutscenes, but it's not really the main selling point IMO.

TLOU2 was a mess so get something else

TLoU2 is a great game, but it's currently single player only.

Get MK11 so you can play it while it's hot.

There's literally like 6 hours of cutscenes in mortal kombat and the dlc, broken up by fights that last a minute or so.

if you liked TLOU1 you are going to like TLOU2. wasnt my favorite game but i spent $60 and thought it was definitely worth it. it's also surprisingly long for a heavily story-based game. a lot of the hate is overblown and comes from people who never even played the game
