I personally am enjoying it. Having been much of it but Id recommend it if you like loot shooters. Even more with friends.

It's not bad. Can get a bit heavy-handed with the "girl power, men are assholes" vibe, but the gunplay is still super-solid and there are some decent chuckles throughout.

I love it on PC, probably my favorite Borderlands. It feels a little different than previous Borderlands, can't really describe why.

I am a little irked that they broke certain achievements in DLC #3 (Bounty of Blood), I was trying to 100% the game but I can't so I quit lol. Still have a couple of DLC to try out.

Borderlands as a series isn't known for its story or writing, but they keep ramping up how much of it there is. And there's no way to skip through it. There's a lot of stupid dialogue and plot in 3.

The big bads were kinda wasted. They had maybe 2 or 3 points where they were funny or likeable and the rest was just like really, this is what they did with them. At least they look cool, I guess.

Gameplay is fun. Gun manufacturer gimmicks have gotten a bit better since 2 (though there's still some annoying ones, lookin at you, Torgue and Jakobs). Climbing on stuff is a new mechanic that is surprisingly really fun for how simple it is.

Guns seem pretty unbalanced in general, but I'm not a super great player with a good understanding of the internal workings of things. You're gonna be drowning in legendaries so there's no point in picking up ANYTHING else. And it's not available right now since it's from a seasonal (I hope it comes back) event, but once you pick up an O.P.Q. System, you never need another gun ever.

Character builds are good fun. At max level you have enough points to get to the final skill of two trees plus a bit of the third tree.

Some maps are good, some are god awful (Eden 6). Not super impressed with level design, but the environments are nice to look at. Still salty you can't go explore the crashed Helios station you can see on Pandora.

It's a decent game. Bad writing, fun to play, enemy difficulty/smartness is way more balanced than in 2, looks nice, some nice callbacks to previous entries (and some really shitty ones). Worth a buy if you enjoy the rest of the series.

No joke, I picked up the game and started playing right when this event was going on, and I absolutely steamrolled through everything with it. It actually got close to killing the game for me, since it made one of the primary loops of the game completely irrelevant.

The most annoying thing is the whole going back and forth to Sanctuary and having to stand there and listen to story bits that arent interesting.

You can skip cutscenes but the characters sometimes just talk and you cant leave because they may hand you something or the story wont progress without listening to every word.

Confused by some of the responses here lol.

The player characters were awesome, I haven't wanted to replay a Borderlands game with multiple characters since the original. The fact that you can mix it up with different special abilities on each character helps quite a bit.

The meme dialogue felt really toned down from 2, too. Not saying the writing was great but it also wasn't 100% screaming and shouting and shit (just... maybe 60%).
