I've been locked in my bed room for 10 days straight doing nothing but working remotely. fatigue has officially set in and im ready to do anything but what I'm doing now isolation / working from home.

my mental health has really taken a nose dive from isolation. my anxiety is getting a lot harder to control especially when my coping mechanism before was to just keep myself busy, and that's much harder now

I like staying in but I really look forward to playing and watching football on Thanksgiving and now our Turkey bowl isn't looking likely and the only good nfl game got postponed

Go outside for a walk or something. That helps me. My mental health is more important.

Things I'm tired of thanks to this pandemic:

• Telling people at my work, "We haven't had that since March," usually the orange chicken.
• Doing additional wash cycles, with vinegar and hot water, on so much of my laundry just to try and disinfect my clothes, bedsheets, bath towels, and face masks.
• Having to remember to grab a different mask each day or put it on once I'm in my work's parking lot. Also: fogging of glasses.
• A line outside Trader Joe's due to capacity rules.
• Customers at work who let their noses hang out or remove their masks to speak (when you only need to be loud and clear enough.
• Hearing about said pandemic or its deniers.

Sounds kinda like the lockdowns aren't really the answer to this pandemic.
Depression is no joke. It's a disease like anything else that many people suffer from.

I mean, we should all try to be careful as much as we can but it's not worth sacrificing your mental health over.

believe it or not, I'm an introvert by nature.

not the kind of introvert that hates gatherings, but the kind that is easily exhausted by them.

I'd be lying if I said reading body language without seeing people's faces IRL has started to really wear down my instincts.

I'm also a nihilist, but I'd also be lying if i said that this whole masked clownworld wasn't absolutely destroying any sort of empathy or interpersonal connection IRL. Real life has about as much connection as twitter now. hello fellow human, you sound like Charlie Brown's teacher and i have to really reach for context clues despite you standing 6' away. if i try to emote with my eyes any harder to get a point across, i might pull a muscle in my face.

politics bullshit aside, its like dealing with NPCs in any interaction outside of my house these days.

you like, really missed the point of that post, but frankly I'm not surprised. gotta keep up the assault, eventually the veneer may start to peel... reddit. imgur. gamefaqs...the site itself was far from the point. even the people i deal with daily, masked face to masked face have become Peds at this point. it wouldn't surprise me if they shouted "Grove street for life, homie" any more than it would surprise me if they shouted "MAGA" or "Build Back Better".
