I mean Bernie got stomped in the primary twice. Otherwise, he would be President if they were sooo popular. Is it that hard to accept that the typical democrat is actually pretty moderate and just does not want to deal with a literal fascist/child/racist/handmaid's tale jesus freak, constant virtue signaling, or a REVOLUTION for the reddit and rogan BRO.

Easier to present the Democrats as the enemy that way. If they were to say hate the democrats, they are moderates who are willing to work with us, it would confuse people. But by saying they are all left wing socialists who hate America, they clearly show that the Democrats are the enemy.

Not really. There are many politicans in those places to the right of Biden. For example pretty sure Biden is to the left of Shinzo Abe.

Bernie is also pretty solidly left in most of the world despite people saying he's actually conservative internationally, etc.

I think most people get thrown off because politicians, even right wing ones, in most places support universal healthcare etc but pretty much nobody is going to advocate for taking something away once it's there. That would be way too unpopular.

But I'm sure a lot of right wing politicans like Boris Johnson would have fought against it had it not been established yet.

but trump won your primary and survived impeachment from a republican backed senate, and the GOP has constantly backed him though so it is reasonable to assume Trump represents the vast majority of republicans while Bernie lost twice, the second being an embarrassingly defeat so this isn't a both sides cop out at all.

Bernie lost twice, the second being an embarrassingly defeat
Yes, the DNC coordinating all of the moderates to drop out while keeping Warren in to split the progressive vote and unite under a milquetoast moderate right before Super Tuesday after realizing Sanders was actually doing well despite getting a disproportionately low amount of press coverage while also having that press coverage be disproportionally negative compared to the other candidates. What an "embarrassing" defeat that was. Absolutely. Completely normal sequence of events right there. He was going to lose naturally and nothing was done to affect it at all.

Let's not forget that after uniting under Joe Biden, Bernie has campaigned harder for him than any of the other losers in the primary. And even after the DNC's big effort to show Biden's capable of bringing both sides closer together, Trump still got 70 million votes.

I swear Democrats engage in zero fucking self reflection, and they're just as willing to kick sand in the faces of the people who reluctantly supported them as they were back in 2016. They can't bully republicans because that actually takes a spine (and it probably also means losing corporate dollars), but they'll sure as hell bully the left because they know the left has no other options between a moderate and a fascist.

A majority of democrat voters

Support single payer healthcare (54%)
Want to legalize weed (78%)
Believe climate change should be a top priority (68%)
Support an option for tuition free college (83%)
Strongly favor increasing the federal minimum wage (59%)
Favor some form of UBI (66%)

The fact that there's a great deal of support for the policies that people like Bernie and AOC support signal to me that there's an issue in how people decide on who they're gonna vote for.

If you're talking about the elected officials, again, clearly there's a problem here where the people's interests aren't being represented. But obviously they skew pretty heavily to the middle or even slightly right.

Unfortunately 'socialist' is basically a cheat code that makes people's brains turn off so branding the opposition as socialists is a decent strategy for republicans much of the time.

This has nothing to do with progressives and everything to do with "normal" neo-liberalism being the reason fascism has taken hold to the degree that it has and will almost certainly lead us even further in that direction.

Bloomberg isn't beholden to the Democrats, so that's why he didn't drop out. He's a republican-lite who was trying to fuck with the primaries even more than the DNC could. Plus he dropped out immediately after Super Tuesday when it was clear the moderates were flooding to Biden.

So, the fuck are you trying to say? Was this one point you had supposed to destroy my argument?

Oh and let's not forget who Bloomberg shilled for after dropping out of the primaries. Hint: It wasn't the progressive that wanted to tax him heavily.
