As long as you are treating them properly and maintain their habitat well, they will thrive. They don't want to interact with you. they don't even want to interact with other hedgehogs, unless it's baby-making time. Whenever you snuggle with your hedgehog, it will get stressed. Whenever you hand-feed your hog, it will get fear for its life.
